Marina Bowsher

Marina Bowsher, President

Marina is a parent of a junior in the Richard Montgomery International Baccalaureate (IB) program and a college sophomore at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business who graduated from the IB program at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in 2021. Marina holds a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. After beginning her career in the law firm world, she started her own business ten years ago assisting federal agencies and private businesses with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance by providing advice and conducting internal investigations. Marina is a strong proponent of the IB pedagogy, seeing its positive effects in developing knowledgeable, inquisitive, open-minded, and ethical citizens of the world.

Christopher Pease, At Large

Chris is the father of a recent graduate and a junior in the IB program. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics from Imperial College, London.  He also holds an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.  He works for IBA managing the proton therapy cancer treatment center at Inova in Fairfax, VA.  He also serves as an election judge for the Montgomery County Board of Elections.  Chris is a firm believer in the power of building bridges through travel and cultural exchanges.  He has lived in Brazil, England and in various regions of the United States.

 

Yuri Lee

       Yuri Lee, At Large

Yuri is the mother of a sophomore in the RMIB program. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Energy Resources Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea. She also holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland.  She is the CEO of Lee Federal, Inc, which provides IT and engineering services for the Inter-American Development Bank and the US Government. She is also the director of TALK Youth Leadership, a program meant to build leadership in students from immigrant families.
